Hon. Justice O’Connell Uche Ogbonna

Hon. Justice O’Connell Uche Ogbonna is the President of Ebonyi State Customary Court of Appeal.

Justice Ogbonna graduated with a Law Degree in 1990 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991.

Upon graduation from Law School, Justice Ogbonna worked at the Ministry of Justice Enugu State from 1992 – 1996 and later in Ebonyi State from 1996 – 2004. He was Director Public Prosecution (DPP) in Ebonyi State from 2002 – 2004 and on 16th November 2004, was appointed a Judge of Ebonyi State Judiciary Customary Court of Appeal. On 16th August 2012 he was appointed Acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal, and on January 16th 2013, was sworn in as the substantive President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Ebonyi State.

Justice Ogbonna hails from Agukpobe Amegu, Izzi in Abakaliki LGA of Ebonyi State. He is married with many children.
