Hon. Justice Ekuma-Nkama was appointed a judicial officer on the 9th of October, 1995 in Abia State. He was appointed Acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal (CCA) on 14th July, 2004 and the substantive President on 16th November, 2004. He is a trained lawyer and was at a time a Chief Magistrate and Chief Registrar in the old Abia State. He has headed judicial panels of enquiry, Armed Robbery Tribunal and served on Election Petitions Tribunal. He has served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Abuja.
