This award will help to cover round-trip transportation, tuition, fees, room and board expenses, and some educational supplies. You must also pass a language proficiency exam if your native language is not that of your proposed study country to be considered for this award. African Women Public Service Fellowship Provided by: The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service (“NYU Wagner” or “Wagner”) – one of the schools at New York University and the largest school of public service in the United States Deadline: January 7, 2010 Amount: Tuition, housing, travel to and from the United States and a small stipend to cover books and miscellaneous expenses Description: The African Women Public Service Fellowship, made possible by a donation from the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, offers African women the opportunity for graduate study at Wagner to prepare them for public service in their home countries. Scholarship Opportunities for Scholars and ProfessionalsThe Guest Researchers’ Scholarship Programme Provided by: The Nordic Africa Institute, Sweden Deadline: Applications must be received 1 April, 2010 (please note that airmail from Ebonyi State may take several weeks to reach Sweden) Amount: Includes a return air-fare, accommodation, allowance of SEK (Swedish kronor) 300 (approx. $40) a day plus an installation grant of SEK 2,500 (approx. $350), a shared office and free photocopying facilities up to a maximum of 1,000 copies. Description: This scholarship programme is directed at senior scholars in Africa engaged in research on/about the African continent with a proven track record of extensive post-graduate research experiences. Female researchers are especially encouraged to apply for these scholarships.
