Ebonyi State Office of Grants & Donor Agencies

The Office of the Hon. Commissioner for Grants and Donor Agencies was created on August 2007 by the Administration of the State Governor, Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi, MFR.

The Office is service-oriented and charged with the responsibility of processing counterpart requests from State agencies that are financially assisted by international donor bodies and Federal Government agencies.

The Office monitors effective and efficient implementation of projects executed by State agencies to ensure that value for the money released to them is realized.

The Office liaises with international donor bodies that have yet to establish their presence in the State to partner with State agencies in the health, education and agricultural sectors.

One of the functions of the Office is reaching out to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Abuja, in order to access funds from the Conditional Grants Scheme (CGS) to further finance projects in the State aimed at poverty reduction.
